How to chase a batch of supplier quotes by email from your phone

You've sent quote requests to 30 suppliers and now you're waiting. Half of them haven't replied, and you need those numbers by end of week. You could sit at your desk and write 15 chasers, or you could queue the job from your phone and approve the drafts on WhatsApp while you're doing something else.

What this does

You queue a job from your phone: "Chase the 15 suppliers who haven't replied to my quote request from last week — polite follow-up, mention the original date, ask for a reply by Friday." Anchor Trails drafts all 15 emails on your Mac, sends you each draft on WhatsApp for approval, and sends them from your logged-in Gmail or Outlook. You approve from wherever you are; the agent handles the rest.

What you need

- A Mac or Linux machine you can leave on - The free plan connects one machine; paid plans let you queue more jobs per day (the free tier allows three jobs daily, so you'd need the Personal plan for a 15-email batch in one go, or break it into smaller batches over a few days) - Your email account already logged into Chrome on that machine (Gmail, Outlook web, or any webmail) - The supplier list and original request context (in a spreadsheet, a note, or just tell the agent where to find them)

How it works

Anchor Trails runs on your own device and uses your logged-in sessions. When you queue the email job, it goes to your Mac's local work queue. The agent opens your webmail, finds the original thread for each supplier, drafts a follow-up, and sends each draft to you on WhatsApp. You approve, edit, or skip each one; only approved emails get sent.

Sites see your real IP and your logged-in account — no bot flags, no OAuth tokens, no per-request billing.

Setup

1. Create a free Anchor Trails account at anchortrails.com 2. Connect your Mac or Linux machine using the installer (scan the pairing QR code, wait for the first heartbeat) 3. Make sure you're logged into your email provider in Chrome on that machine 4. Queue the job from your phone: open the Anchor Trails mobile view, describe the task ("Chase 15 suppliers who haven't replied to my quote request from 28 September — polite follow-up, ask for reply by 11 October"), and submit 5. Approve each draft as it arrives on WhatsApp

What Anchor Trails actually does

Anchor Trails is a local-first desktop agent. It doesn't call an email API or connect to your Gmail via OAuth — it opens your browser, navigates to your webmail, and composes emails the way you would. Your flat-rate AI subscriptions (Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude) provide the reasoning and drafting; Anchor Trails provides the browser automation, the queue, and the approval gate.

The free plan connects one machine and allows three jobs per day. If you're chasing 15 suppliers, that's one job (the agent batches the emails into a single task), but depending on how you structure it, you might need the Personal plan ($19/month, 50 jobs per day) to run it in one go. You can also break it into smaller batches and spread them over the free plan's daily allowance.

Nothing leaves your machine except what you approve. The job runs locally, the drafts come to you on WhatsApp, and you have final say before anything irreversible happens.
