Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 August 2026

1. The service

Anchor Trails ("we", "us") provides software that lets you run an automation agent on your own devices ("nodes"), coordinated through our hosted control plane and relay. The agent acts on websites, applications, and services using your machine, your sessions, and your credentials, under your direction. By creating an account or running a node you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method and mesh keys secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and your nodes. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the service.

3. Acceptable use

The agent runs with your access, so you may only direct it at accounts, systems, and websites you own or are authorised to use, and you are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party service it touches. You must not use Anchor Trails to: break the law; access systems without authorisation; send spam or engage in fraud; harvest personal data you have no right to; evade security controls of services you do not own; or interfere with the operation of the service itself. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

4. Your content and data

Work performed by your nodes happens on your devices. Node-to-node and phone-to-node traffic through our relay is end-to-end encrypted; we store a hash of your mesh auth key, not the key itself, and we cannot read relayed content. You retain all rights to your data. See the Privacy Policy for what the control plane stores.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers are billed monthly in USD through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in Settings; access continues to the end of the paid period. Action-token packs are one-time purchases. Tier quotas (nodes, meshes, monthly action tokens) are enforced server-side and may evolve; we will not reduce what a live paid tier includes without notice. See the Refund Policy.

6. Early-access software

Anchor Trails is early-access software. Automation can fail or behave unexpectedly on third-party sites that change without notice. Design your use so that irreversible actions require your approval, and review what the agent proposes before approving.

7. Intellectual property

We own the Anchor Trails software, brand, and service. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to run the node software on your devices for the duration of your account. You must not resell the service or misrepresent it as your own.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we exclude implied warranties. We are not liable for actions the agent performs under your direction, for third-party services, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the service for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination your subscriptions stop renewing and provisioned meshes are revoked.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date, and continued use after that date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Questions: support@anchortrails.com.
